Donations
We are always most grateful for monetary donations, both
small and large, to help us maintain and expand our commitment
to animal welfare in our branch area.
If you wish to make a donation by cheque, postal order or
debit/credit card it is essential that you include the name of
the branch in the transaction, i.e.. 'RSPCA Chelmsford,
Brentwood & Mid Essex Branch'.
- One off donations
Large or small donations are always welcome and
acknowledged. We send certificates of thanks for group
efforts such as sponsored events or special individual
achievements. Please remember to make the donation payable
to RSPCA Mid Essex Branch.
- Payroll giving
If your employer has facilities for this it is an excellent
way of giving as it ensures we receive your contribution
regularly. You should clearly state the full name of the
branch and the branch charity number as the recipient (i.e.
RSPCA Essex Mid. Brentwood Chelmsford and District Branch.
Registered charity number 210634).
- Bequests
These have been especially helpful to us and made it
possible to expand our animal welfare services. Your request
in your Will should be worded as follows, "I bequeath to
the RSPCA Essex Mid. Brentwood Chelmsford and District
Branch Registered charity number 210634 the sum of £ free of
all death duties and taxes payable at my death and I declare
that the receipt by the Treasurer shall be sufficient
discharge to my trustees". If you intend the bequest to
be a residual bequest your solicitor will advise you.
- Gift Aid
You can make your donation more tax effective by using
Gift Aid which means that the taxman pays us the tax you
have paid on your donation. Higher rate taxpayers can
reclaim the tax for every £100 donated to charity by
including Gift Aid donations in their self assessment form.
Girt Aid can apply to any amount of payment from an
individual taxpayer. You may download and use the form
